I think he would have the grumpy steriotype, becoming annoyed very easily and throwing a tantrum for the smallest of the reasons. Another feature is whenever he sees truffles his eyes become swirly and he gives the chase, running into anything on his way.
Well, he is dressed like a sailor, so he would be friends with Russell, in his appearence in Clause for Concern, he was showed to be quite timid when he went to talk with Pop, which is also a good option for a friend due Pop rarely interacting. He would probably be disgusted by Cuddles and Toothy for they being happy and cheerful and Truffles not.
