Gameplay[]
This game is an up to 4 players rogue-lite shoot' em-up 2D co-op game. The game objective is to kill all enemies using your gun and receive as many likes from audiences as possible (in the original game, the audience can be also killed by the player). The likes can be used to upgrade things and buy weapons. The show is announced by a rooster named Rusty, who gives you tips and comments. Each player can choose a character model (Bunny, Cowie, Rusty, Sharky, Crocodile, Panda, Evil Goat, and Piggy). There are also 4 classes that players can choose:
- Assault: This class equips you with the Pew Gun and the Anvil Drop special item.
- Engineer: This class equips you with the Zap Gun and the Turret special item.
- Medic: This class equips you with the Lob-o-Gun and the Bandages special item.
- Tank: This class equips you with the Shotgun.
As players are ready to start a new session, they are allowed to select a perk to claim, which give advantages once collected (the effects can also stack with each other), Should two or more players claim a perk machine in unison, they must duel in a button-press minigame and the winner will be rewarded with the perk. When the game starts, the player(s) is put in a room of enemies and are given six hit points. In co-op, if one of the players loses all of their hit points, the other player is given a timed chance to revive him/her. In order to complete a level, you must defeat all of the enemies in the stage. Hazards will occasionally liter the battlefield as well, and can inflict damage onto enemies and players alike. After defeating all enemies, you will be able to progress to the next level (fallen players will also be instantly revived with one hit point).
There is also a Campaign mode and an Endless mode. Campaign is the game's story mode, where the player(s) progress through 3 seasons, with each making up six episodes. A boss is fought at the end of each episode, and starting with Episode 4, the player(s) will encounter a miniboss. Once the first season is completed, the Endless mode will be unlocked. As the name implies, Endless mode puts you against an endless waves of enemies, with a random boss being fought every 10 waves.
The Happy Tree Friends edition has additional 9 playable Happy Tree Friends characters. which are Cuddles, Giggles, Toothy, Petunia, Handy, Nutty, Sniffles, Flaky and Splendid. Lumpy is the announcer. An update released on December 15th, 2023 added Flippy as the tenth playable character, alongside a bonus skin that turns him into Fliqpy.

Trivia[]
- The theme music for The Crackpet Show was written by Jerome Rossen - the original composer of Happy Tree Friends.
- This game is similar to the Cult of the Lamb. Both were released in the late 2022, and both have small anthropomorphic animals fight monsters in order to advance and beat the game. The main difference is how Cult of the Lamb protagonist uses melee weapons to fight, while Crackpets use guns.
