Overview

Videos

Throughout the duration of the series, there have been a lot of recycled assets from the show, usually to save money and time, ranging from voices and background music to character models.

Sounds

• The sound of Cuddles' hands slipping off the pole in Spin Fun Knowin' Ya is reused in Blast From the Past.
• A "bong" sound effect from the MondoMedia intro can be heard when Handy spots what he thinks is a bucket of water in House Warming. This sound is also heard:
  • in Wheelin' and Dealin' when the screen closes up on a road sign;
  • in Snow What? That's What! when the tree at the bottom of the hill is seen;
  • and in Spare Me when the screen closes up on Handy after he realizes he didn't knock down all 10 bowling pins.
• A loud echoing sound can be heard in Crazy Ant-ics when Sniffles' tongue bursts through The Ants' door. This sound can also be heard:
  • in Havin' A Ball when Lumpy dies;
  • in Wheelin' and Dealin' when Lumpy's car explodes (though one has to listen closely to hear it);
  • in Pitchin' Impossible when the ferris wheel is released from its hinges;
  • in From Hero to Eternity when Splendid throws Lumpy's truck;
  • and in A Change of Heart when Lumpy hears a loud crash.
• The jackhammer sound effect for Nutty from Nuttin' Wrong with Candy is reused in In a Jam.
• Some of the sound effects from the MondoMedia intro can be heard in Pitchin' Impossible when The Mole's ball bounces all over the place.
• A sound that usually indicates danger can be heard:
  • in Chip Off the Ol' Block when Pop is about to mow sharp objects;
  • in Snip Snip Hooray! when Pop plugs in the shaver;
  • in Water Way to Go when Pop notices Cub is missing after buying ice cream;
  • in Icy You when Nutty drinks from the nozzle;
  • in Remains to be Seen when Fliqpy blankly stares at Lumpy and his leaf blower before attacking;
  • in Snow Place to Go (albeit high pitched and distorted) when Toothy bites into his snow burger;
  • in See What Develops when The Mole flashes Mime with his camera;
  • in Wingin' It when Flaky sees a plane after reaching the airport;
  • in Easy Comb, Easy Go when the ozone layer is broken;

• The way Cuddles screams when Lumpy pulls his lower end out of the ambulance in I Get a Trick Out of You is reused in Ski Patrol when the gurney he's strapped to is dragged through some trees.
• The way Cuddles talks at Mittens in Who's to Flame? is reused in A Hole Lotta Love.

  

  Cuddles' voice from Whose to Flame? reused in A Hole Lotta Love.

• Cuddles' long scream in Blast From the Past is reused in Camp Pokeneyeout when he's hugging Toothy.
• Some of Cuddles' voice clips from In a Jam are reused in YouTube 101: Subscriptions.

Giggles, Petunia, Cub

• Giggles' scream in Stayin' Alive is reused by Petunia in Keepin' it Reel and From A to Zoo. Coincidentally, both times this scream is used, it involves glass being shattered against the character's face.
• Giggles' laugh at the beginning of Snow What? That's What! is reused in the Flowers option of her Smoochie and by Petunia in the Sprinkle option of her Smoochie.
  • The scream Giggles makes when she notices Cro-Marmot sliding down the hill is reused by Petunia in Hello Dolly when she notices her heart on a spring.
• The sound Giggles makes when Cuddles' blood splashes on her in This Is Your Knife is reused by Petunia in Flippin' Burgers when Fliqpy grabs her by the head.
  • The sound Giggles makes when Cuddles' intestine gets wrapped around her neck is reused in Flippin' Burgers when Fliqpy sticks the bottles into her ears.
• The sounds Giggles makes when she panics over Cuddles' death in Flippin' Burgers are reused when she tries to fix her sliced tongue in the Note option of her Smoochie.
  • The sound she makes when the mustard and ketchup is going through her nose is reused during her death in the Note option of her Smoochie.
• The scream She makes in You're Bakin' Me Crazy When she Is shocked at Lumpy being naked is reused in Too Much Scream Time
• Giggles' scream in From Hero to Eternity is reused during her deaths in Every Litter Bit Hurts and On My Mind, and reused when Petunia's eye is dragged by the vacuum cleaner in Royal Flush.
• Giggles' scream on the option "Cupid Form" on her Smoochie is reused in Class Act when Petunia screams in the fire.
• One of Giggles' giggles in Doggone It is reused in Ipso Fatso and Wrath of Con (though it is hard to tell who did the laugh in these two examples), and is reused by Petunia in I Heart U.
  • The sound she makes when she notices Whistle is reused in Dunce Upon a Time when she notices the house is in the sky.
  • The scream she uses when she is hanging from her clothes line is reused for Cub when he's on fire in Wrath of Con.
  • The scream she makes when Whistle tears off her skin is reused in Swelter Skelter and Cubtron Z, in Sea What I Found by Cub, and in Wishy Washy and My Better Half by Petunia.

    

    Giggles' scream from "Doggone It" is reused in many HTF episodes.

• Giggle's gasp in Who's to Flame? is reused in Double Whammy Part 1.
• Giggles' angry groans in Every Litter Bit Hurts are reused by Petunia in Camp Pokeneyeout.
• Giggles' coughing at the beginning of Every Litter Bit Hurts is reused by Petunia in Breaking Wind.
• Giggles' heavy breathing in A Change of Heart is reused when she flatlines in Blood Donor.
• Giggles repeats the same death sounds in Blast From the Past (during her second death) and Double Whammy.
• Giggles' scream from Home Is Where the Hurt Is is reused before her death in Breaking Wind. It is also used by Petunia in the former when chunks of a crushed Lumpy fall on her and she runs to the bathroom.
• The sound Giggles makes when she notices her sweater shrinking in Letter Late than Never is reused in the beginning of Spare Tire.
• The sound Giggles makes when she goes down the slide in Swelter Skelter is reused in Breaking Wind and Buns of Steal. It is also reused by Cub in his Smoochie when he starts to use his hula-hoop.
• The way Petunia says "Oh, wow!" when she is looking at her new house in House Warming is reused in Reindeer Kringle and in the Swim and Sprinkle options of her Smoochie (though she only says "Oh" in Swim and "Wow" in Sprinkle). It is later reused by Giggles in Kringle Tree.
  • The way she screams after a bucket of petrol is dumped on her is reused in Flippin' Burgers and Ski Patrol. It is also reused by Giggles in Eyes Cold Lemonade, Stealing the Spotlight, The Wrong Side of the Tracks, Snow Place to Go, Kringle Karols, Butter Me Up, and Sight Kringle.
  • The struggling sounds she makes at the end of the episode are reused in Hello Dolly when she tries to push her heart back in place.

• Petunia's scream during her death in Stayin' Alive is reused in the Spin option of her Smoochie.
• Petunia's scream in the end of the episode Hide and Seek Is reused in Eyes Cold Lemonade when Giggles' face is cut and in 2 of the options in her Smoochie.
• Petunia's scream when she wets herself with Lumpy in her arms in Happy Trails Pt. 1 is reused in her Smoochie when her head is caught in the mouth of a shark.
• The way Petunia says "Yummy, yummy, yummy!" in Eyes Cold Lemonade is reused by Giggles in Put Your Back Into It.
• The sound Petunia makes when she sees her flooded basement in Wishy Washy is reused when Splendid crushes her hand in Just Be Claus.
  • The sound she makes when she opens a drawer to find something to clean off the dirty water is reused by Cub in his Smoochie, during his first death.

• The sound Cub makes when a bear trap lands on his head in It's a Snap is reused in Class Act and Stealing the Spotlight. It is also reused in Hello Dolly, but it is cut short.

• Cub's baby talk in Rink Hijinks is reused in Snip Snip Hooray! when he plays with the unplugged razor and in Too Much Scream Time when he's about to fire the plunger.
• The sound Cub makes after Pop takes the razor from him in Snip Snip Hooray! is reused in Hello Dolly when he greets Petunia and in Cubtron Z (twice).
  • His crying is reused in Chore Loser.
• Cub's gargled screaming in Water Way to Go is reused in the same episode and in Hello Dolly during his death. It is also later reused by Giggles in Doggone It.
• Cub's laughing in the mud in And the Kitchen Sink is used in his Smoochie when he spins his top.
  • His crying is reused in Cubtron Z and A Handy Nanny.
• The sound Cub makes after Whistle rolls off a ball in Doggone It is reused right before he dies in Concrete Solution.
  • The very first scream he makes is reused by Giggles in Wrath of Con.
  • The screams he makes afterwards are reused by Giggles in Cold Hearted.
• The sounds Cub makes while trying to flip a light switch in Clause For Concern is reused in Going Out With a Bang.

Toothy and Handy

• Toothy's screaming when the woodpecker pokes his eye in Eye Candy is reused in Keepin' It Reel, Snow Place to Go, All Flocked Up and See You Later, Elevator.
  • His scream during his death is reused in Snow Place to Go.
• The sound Toothy makes when Lumpy sets up the mousetrap in Doggone It (before he adds the cheese) is reused in An Inconvenient Tooth when Toothy snaps one of his teeth and stumbles into a wagon.
• Toothy's scream after the cobra bites his arm in Take a Hike is reused in Snow Place to Go and All In Vein.
• The sound Toothy makes when he is knocked off of the cannon in Mime to Five is reused in Idol Curiosity and Spare Tire.
  • His scream after being flung back from the force of the cannon is reused when he dies in Spare Tire.

• Lumpy's scream from It's a Snap is reused in Happy Trails Pt. 2: Jumping the Shark after Sniffles, Flippy, and Handy throw him out of the rocket.
• Lumpy's scream when he jumps into Petunia's arms in Happy Trails Pt. 1 is reused in Out of Sight, Out of Mime when he screams over the rats and at the end of the theme song in Can't Stop Coffin and Read 'em and Weep.
• The sound he makes before covering his eyes at the cliff is reused in Out of Sight, Out of Mime when he runs away and in Remains to be Seen when he tries to shake a zombified Fliqpy off of his arm.
• The way Lumpy says "Aha!" when he finds his axe in Out on a Limb is reused in Remains to be Seen when he finds the leaf blower.
• The way Lumpy screams after noticing he is naked in Let It Slide is reused in Remains to be Seen after his arm has been bitten off.
• The sound Lumpy makes when he slips on Nutty's insides in Icy You is reused in Out on a Limb when he trips over a rock.

Nutty

• Part of Nutty's scream when he is about to die in Nuttin' Wrong with Candy is reused during his death in Party Animal and during his first death in his Smoochie.
• Nutty's laugh at the beginning of Icy You is reused in From Hero to Eternity and Bite Sized.
  • The way he screams after ripping his lips is reused in Bite Sized after he breaks his jaw.
• The noises Nutty makes before tasting the first grain of sugar in Party Animal is reused in Wipe Out! when he buys ice cream and in False Alarm when he sees the truck of candy.

  

  Nutty's scream in 'Chew Said A Mouthful' is reused in 'Double Whammy' and 'GOWAB'

• Nutty's offscreen scream in Doggone It (during the squid attack) is reused in Who's to Flame? when he witnesses Handy's death, in False Alarm (twice), and in Camp Pokeneyeout when one of his eyes gets injured.
• The way Nutty says "oooooh" when he finds a box of cereal in Concrete Solution is reused in A Sight for Sore Eyes when he sees Russell's kite and in A Sucker for Love Part 1 when he sees Cub's lollipop.
  • His "mmmmmm" after he tastes the bridge is reused in In a Jam and Swelter Skelter.
• The sad "ooh" Nutty makes at the beginning of Dunce Upon a Time is reused in See What Develops and False Alarm.
  • The way Nutty laughs before milking the cow is reused in See What Develops after the picture is taken and in False Alarm after he finishes his lollipop.
  • The way he laughs after eating the beans is reused in False Alarm when he runs to Lifty and Shifty's van before they drive away.
• The sound Nutty makes when his pantry is empty in Chew Said a Mouthful is reused in A Sucker for Love Part 2 when he cries over the chocolate box visiting him in prison.

• The way Nutty laughs before his eye injury in A Sight for Sore Eyes is reused in his imagination with the lollipop in A Sucker for Love Part 1.
  • His whimpering after he is injured is reused in Easy Comb, Easy Go.
• The way Nutty laughs after biting Disco Bear's cotton candy in Easy Comb, Easy Go is reused in A Sucker for Love Part 1 when he imagines himself married to a gum ball machine.
  • His laughter after Disco Bear throws his cotton candy and when he catches it, is reused in In a Jam for his first two laughs. The second laugh is reused in the beginning of A Sucker for Love Part 1.
• The screaming coming from Nutty's video game in False Alarm is later reused for his death in All Work and No Play.
• Nutty's long laugh from Nuttin' Wrong with Candy is reused in many episodes, it was also in other games such as when Nutty doesn't die on the ground in Sugar High.

Sniffles

• Sniffles' scream before his head explodes in Crazy Ant-ics is reused in Happy Trails Pt. 2: Jumping the Shark, again before his head explodes.
• Sniffles' scream after getting part of his torso bitten off by Nutty in Class Act is reused in his Smoochie after getting his arms ripped off by the jetpack.

Sniffles' scream from "Tounge in Cheek" is reused in "Dream Job"

• The squeals Sniffles makes while holding his breath in Party Animal are reused in Doggone It.
• The sounds Sniffles makes while trying to buckle Nutty's gurney in Concrete Solution are reused in A Hole Lotta Love when he is tightening the last bolt on the drill.
• Sniffles' scream after getting his foot stabbed by The Mole's litter picker in Every Letter Bit Hurts is reused in A Hole Lotta Love when he and Pop are being tossed around the drill machine.
• The sound of awe that Sniffles makes over seeing Genie Lumpy in As You Wish is reused in Wrath of Con when he arrives at the convention.
  • His scream before his death is reused in A Sight for Sore Eyes.
• A few of Sniffles' screams from being tossed around in A Hole Lotta Love can be heard during his death in All Work and No Play.
• The sound Sniffles makes when he is about to grab his glass of milk before being killed in Blast From the Past is reused in All Work and No Play when Lumpy picks him up with a crane.
• The way Sniffles laughs after building the ant robot in Tongue in Cheek is recycled at the beginning of Random Acts of Silence.
  • The way he screams while being electrocuted is later reused in Dream Job when he falls into the desert.

Pop

• Pop's panting in Havin' A Ball after he gets through traffic to get Cub's ball is reused in Read 'em and Weep after crushing Cub with a shovel and by Flippy in Happy Trails Pt. 2: Jumping the Shark when he and the others swim back to the surface after Flaky accidentally pops the escape raft with her quills. This is because Pop was intended to be in the episode.
• Pop saying "Now stay here" in Chip Off the Ol' Block is reused in A Hole Lotta Love. It is also reused in Cubtron Z, but the word "now" is taken out.
  • His humming is reused in Read 'em and Weep.
  • The noise he makes when he notices Cub trying to grab the brick under the lawnmower is reused in Too Much Scream Time when he notices Cub playing with the bow and arrow.
• The sound Pop makes when he stops Cub from touching a pair of scissors in Snip Snip Hooray! is reused in Doggone It when he denies Cub's wish for the pet locked in a steel cage.
  • The nervous sounds he makes when combing over Cub's wound are reused in Doggone It when he nervously holds Whistle on a leash and in A Hole Lotta Love when he saves Cub from falling into the well, although the latter is played in reverse.
  • Him angrily saying "Eh...? What is this?" is reused in Mime to Five.
• The sounds Pop makes when he asks Cub for the soda in Water Way to Go are reused in Chore Loser when he decides to play Cub's game.
  • Him saying "Hold on, son!" is reused in A Hole Lotta Love.
• The sound Pop makes when the first popcorn pops in his face in his Smoochie is reused in Cub's Smoochie when he sees that Cub is dead.
  • The sound he makes when he tries to bite on his kebab is reused in A Sucker for Love Part 1 when he and Nutty are fighting over Cub's lollipop.
• The first two groans Pop makes when Splendid leaves the laundromat in From Hero to Eternity are reused in A Hole Lotta Love when The Mole breaks the lead of a pencil.
• The "ow"s Pop makes while walking through the cacti in And the Kitchen Sink are reused in A Hole Lotta Love when the drill spins in circles.
  • The sound he makes after getting the idea to tie Cub to his car is reused in A Hole Lotta Love when he stops the drill with an anchor, in Read 'em and Weep after he picks the cursed book, in Clause For Concern after the final train passes by, and in Cub's Smoochie when he sees Cub playing with a hula-hoop.

  • His whimpers are reused in Sea What I Found and A Hole Lotta Love.
  • The sound he makes when he sees the two trucks is reused in Clause For Concern when he accidentally throws his sack on the train tracks.
  • The sound he makes in relief of seeing Cub again after they fall off the waterfall is reused in As You Wish for the latter's temporary survival and in A Hole Lotta Love when he is disgusted at Sniffles' death.
  • The way Pop yells "No!" and cries is reused in Cubtron Z.
  • The first sound he makes after discovering that Cub is alive is reused in Every Letter Bit Hurts, A Hole Lotta Love, Read 'em and Weep, Clause For Concern, and A Vicious Cycle.
• Pop's yelling in Ipso Fatso is reused in Gems the Breaks and during his death in A Vicious Cycle.
• Pop's shocked scream in Don't Yank My Chain is reused in A Hole Lotta Love when he pulls the rope from the well the second time.
• The sound Pop makes when he sees Whistle for the first time in Doggone It is reused in Cub's Smoochie when he thinks Cub is sleeping.
  • The sound Pop makes when the griller falls on him in his Smoochie is reused when Lumpy picks up the phone in Doggone It, during his deaths in Every Litter Bit Hurts and As You Wish.
• Pop's "mmmhmm" in Easy For You to Sleigh has the "mmm" part reused in Cubtron Z when Pop directs Cub in the direction of the City Monster.

• Cuddles, Giggles, Toothy and Lumpy's body from their season 1 starring pop-ups are reused in the first scene of Spin Fun Knowin' Ya.
• Splendid's body in Better Off Bread, when he is flying and carrying Giggles to the point where her eyeballs pop out, is reused in See What Develops when he flies past the flooded supermarket. But because Splendid's hand was part of the asset that Giggles used, his hand is missing.
• Mime's head from Out of Sight, Out of Mime is reused when he dies in Keepin' it Reel.
• Petunia's dead body in The Wrong Side of the Tracks is reused for her death in Aw, Shucks!.
• Cub's dead body in Concrete Solution is reused for him in Aw, Shucks!.
• In Don't Yank My Chain, the pictures of Handy and The Mole on their ID's are images from the early seasons.

...is the same here. (The only difference being Lifty holding the box that contains the Kryptonut. Not to mention, the cycle has been flipped.)

The Mole's glasses...

...have been reused here for Disco Bear's sunglasses. (However, they've been tinted orange, and the lens have been made bigger.)

Flippy's sleeping/snoring animation...

...has been reused here. (The only difference is his arm being present.)

Sniffles' dismembered body parts (The torso and hand in particular.)...

...have been reused here after Pop is killed. (Obviously, they have been recolored to be the same as Pop's fur.)

Nutty's arm...

...is the same here after Cuddles' gets killed. (But here, it has been recolored to be that of Cuddles' fur, and has been edited to have a bite mark in it.)

And later on in Class Act, it can be seen being used again for Cuddles. (However, it seems to be whole again, and there is now a shadow and a blood splatter on it. Plus, it's been flipped.)

• Splendid's season one starring pop-up is reused as a still image for his season two starring pop-up.
• Nutty's season two starring pop-up is reused for his TV series starring pop-up and his seasons 3-4 featuring pop-up. Later, for his 3-4 pop ups, his pose was reused in many episodes he appears in.
• Flaky, Sniffles, and Disco Bear's season two pop-ups are reused for their Winter Break pop-ups.
• Handy's season 3-4 starring and featuring pop-up are the same.
• The Mole's season 3-4 starring and featuring pop-up are the same, only his position is inverted in the latter.

Handy is the same.

So is The Mole, his body is just flipped.
