- The beginning of this short is used as the beginning scene in Winter Break. The part of the Kringle in which Toothy dies was added when the short was released separately. This explains why Toothy's death is drawn in the post-TV series style while the rest of the short uses the characters' pre-TV series design.
- Another significant difference is that in this short, Cuddles drops a star, but in Winter Break, he drops an ornament.
- This is the only time Cuddles has killed a character without dying.
- This seems to have occurred before Sight Kringle.
