General Trivia[]
- The only female main character he has yet to flirt with is Lammy, which may change in the future, it is not known if she will like him, but most likely not.
- According to the "Collect Them All" section in the First Blood DVD, Disco Bear was the Frisbee champion of 1972. A concept sketch, in fact, shows him with a flying disc.
- In the episode selection of the Second Serving DVD, Disco Bear has his own brand of cereal called "Disc-O's." The box has a seventies look. It can also be seen in a wallpaper on the site along with Handy's cereal.
- He is depicted as one of the wealthiest characters.
- In the Tree Talk Activation commentary, it was revealed that Disco Bear was originally a one off character, because of the creators disliking him.
- He also has a whole wardrobe, including a blue, leopard-pattern, long-sleeved, two-piece pajamas; some red and white workout clothes; a brown skiing outfit; and a leopard-pattern swimsuit.
- Disco Bear is the only character who can enunciate real words on a regular basis, without making it hard to understand clearly.
- Disco Bear seems to be friends with Flaky, despite (or maybe because of) him only flirting with her two times.
- His Season 4 alliteration is: Don't be a drag. Get down and dance! Can you dig it?
- He is the only character with a voice who doesn't include any screaming voice clips in the See & Scream feature of the Third Strike DVD.
- Disco Bear is the only main character who lacks a reoccurring goof with his design.
- Disco Bear is the eighteenth character to come back to life after dying, as he died in Rink Hijinks and appeared later in Class Act.
- Disco Bear seems to have two different theme songs.
- In Easy Comb, Easy Go, he's capable of doing Michael Jackson's Moonwalk, and can also spin like him.
- In his Halloween Smoochie, Disco Bear's last costume resembles Michael Jackson's Thriller outfit (the option itself is called Thrillah).
- His internet season 1 pop-up shows a quick version of the dance he did in Stayin' Alive.
- Disco Bear starred in a short video called Disco Bears It All (incorrectly written on the official HTF site as "Disco Bears All"). It is a short film about Disco Bear selling videos on how to get the ladies to like you. A YouTuber known as Cowbot later uploaded it on YouTube.
- He is similar to Cartoon Network's "Johnny Bravo" because they both seem fairly wealthy; both of them are egocentric and proud of themselves; they hit on females frequently, but almost never succeed in getting with them and usually end up injured; and both of them have very long and carefully kept hair (though their hairstyles are very different), which they take very seriously when it comes to looking good. He is also similar to Brock in the "Pokemon" anime for the similar reasons.
- The creators used to hate Disco Bear due to his annoying personality but started to like him better in the later episodes. Fans also grew to like him more.
- While Disco Bear may come off as annoying whenever he tries to hit on Giggles or Petunia, he is actually implied to be one of the more attractive male characters, alongside possibly Splendid.
- It's hinted that Disco Bear fakes his egotism to some extent and tries to hide some insecurities:
- In Ipso Fatso, he is shown to be overweight and feels insecure about it.
- In Easy Comb, Easy Go, he gets his hair shaved off by The Mole, which saddens and embarrasses him, implying that he thinks his perfection was in his hair. He later tries to act confident when Giggles and Petunia flirt with Mime, who wears a wig with shaped like Disco Bear's afro.
- While Giggles' & Petunia's distaste for Disco Bear is justified because of his overly flirtatious attitude, they tend to make fun of his insecurities. This is shown when the two are laughing at him for trying to eat healthy in Ipso Fatso (due to him being overweight). In Easy Comb, Easy Go, they laugh at his misfortune of being bald, hurting his already broken self-esteem. In Put Your Back Into It, when Disco Bear is suffering from back problems, the two don't even show the least bit of concern (or they're just oblivious to his pain, like how Russell mistook his head and backbone for a fish).
- Disco Bear is rarely the focus-on character in the episodes starring him. The only exceptions are Stayin' Alive, Easy Comb, Easy Go, Ipso Fatso, and Put Your Back Into It.
- His car resembles a 1977 Pontiac Firebird.
- Handy, Disco Bear, and Splendid are the only characters to not have any debatable deaths.
Design[]
- Disco Bear and Handy are the only orange characters.

- Shifty is also drawn to have nipples on his concept art.
- He is sometimes mistaken for a lion (because of his afro, color, and growling).
- He is the only bear character who does not wear a hat.
- The first and, so far, only time he was bald was in Easy Comb, Easy Go.
- As seen in Ipso Fatso and his Smoochie, Disco Bear is overweight. So he actually has a pretty unique body shape for his standard Tree Friend proportions.
- Disco Bear is the only main character who does not have a recurring character design goof.
- Disco Bear doesn't have a tail, which is odd as real bears have tails (though small and stubby ones).
- None of the other bear characters have (visible) tails either.
- He appears with a new hair style in Too Much Scream Time.
