You know how Goofy and Pluto are both dogs despite one being anthropomorphic. Well, that applies to HTF as well. Examples include:

TVTropes has a word for this. Is this supposed to be something like the lineage between us and chimpanzees? What are your thoughts?

I noticed this to when I was editing the animal pages there's also the porcupine in Junk in the trunk. It's really weird how shows often do this

I mean, they have the Division of tree friends. Maybe they are more evolved animals? Or basically like Mickey Mouse where some characters are people who just so happen to be a species of animal, and actual animals. Or we may never know.
